Summer Intern 2026 - Food Services (8 week position)

 Food Services Intern, Full Time Temporary (Summer Grant) Position (1 Positions)

The Food Services Intern will be assisting with the operation of our Legato café and our volunteer-driven food service

Key Accountabilities:

• Clean and service kitchen, kitchenettes, staff room, and Legato Café equipment


• Conduct a Cost-of-Goods analysis for our café


• Build a recipe book for volunteer meal teams


• Serve in the Legato Café during Sunday and Saturday services


• Lead food service volunteer teams
  


• Brew coffee for staffroom


• Assist with food services for our summer end community BBQ


• Collaborate with the rest of the staff team on department projects

Additional Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Availability to work evenings and weekends


• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check


• Complete Abuse Prevention process


• Proven competencies in Conflict Resolution, flexibility/adaptability, and love for Jesus


• Attend staff meetings and staff chapels as scheduled


• Follow and live by the “Rule of Life” adopted by the entire SPAC staff, and adhere to the policies and procedures of the Staff Handbook

Qualifications:

• Must be between the ages of 15 – 30


• Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident


• One to two years of food service experience is considered an asset
  


• Proven competencies in Conflict Resolution, Flexibility/Adaptability, and Love for Jesus

Working Hours:  35 hours per week – hourly wage

• Exact days & hours to be determined, evening and weekend hours may be required
