Summer Intern - NextGen Program Leader

NextGen Program Leader 

Potential start date:  May 12, 2025 

Potential duration: 16 weeks 

The NextGen Program Leader will support NextGen Programs (Kids and Junior Youth). NextGen Program Leaders will assist with Friday Junior Youth Program, Sunday Junior Youth and/or Kids Program, Kids Blast Day Camp, PREMIX (Urban Mission Trip), Junior Youth Camp, and other events within Kids and Junior Youth Ministries. 

Major Responsibilities: 

• Assist with ongoing Kids and Junior Youth program including Friday night program, Sunday program, and summer events. 

• Support all NextGen Programs including Kids Blast Day Camp, PREMIX, Junior Youth Camp, and other events within Kids and Junior Youth Ministries. This includes preparation, implementation, and clean up of programs. 

• Attend part of REMIX (high school program) to fully understand the purpose and design of PREMIX and use it as a training exercise to apply the concepts to a Junior Youth audience. 

• Assist with volunteer management including recruitment, onboarding, and debriefing. 

• Assist with Kids Blast Day Camp. 

• Other duties as assigned may include (but are not limited to) assisting with other ministry activities within The Peoples Church. 

Qualifications to participate in this internship opportunity: 

• Deep and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ


• Minimum 18 years old and completed high school. 

• Experience working with children and teens ages 0-14 years. 

• Understanding of missions and excited to teach children and youth how to live on mission. 

• Strong understanding of the Bible. 

• Ability to work independently, in a team, and occasionally from home.
