About Byng Group 

The Byng Group is a full-service renovation general contractor specialized in multi-residential rent-ready suite upgrades and common area maintenance and renovations in Ontario, Canada and the Northeast United States. Our custom renovation software, project management professionals and integrated manufacturing yield outstanding savings in time and money. Byng’s ongoing success will depend on scaling up operations while continuing to deliver the best service in the multi‐family industry. In support of this effort, Byng must maintain world class tech-enabled processes and infrastructure to support operations and fuel growth. This includes flawless management of logistics and end-to-end supply chain. Furthermore, Byng must invest in nurturing positive client relationships and listening carefully to feedback to ensure client needs are met.

Internship Details 

  • Duration: May – August 2026 (flexible start/end dates) 
  • Location: Main Office (Concord)
  • Eligibility: Currently enrolled in a college diploma or university degree program 
  • Reports To: Trade Services Manager
Trade Services Intern 

Ideal for students studying: Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Skilled Trades, Project Management or related programs. As a Trade Services Intern at Byng you will gain hands-on experience supporting field operations and learning the fundamentals of trade services within a fast-paced, project-driven environment. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals, contribute to ongoing projects, and develop practical skills that will set a strong foundation for your career. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the coordination and scheduling trade partner meetings. 

  • Support the tracking of work progress using internal job management systems, flagging delays or issues to the team lead. 

  • Help prepare daily and weekly operational reports summarizing trade recruitment pipeline status. 

  • Assist with the review and basic quality checks of documentation, including trade payment details and completion of records. 

  • Participate in pre-job screening meetings and performance review discussions with project managers. 

  • Support the identification and tracking of issues related to trade services, following up with field teams and subcontractors as directed. 

  • Help maintain organized subcontractor records and assist with the filing and updating of compliance documentation. 

  • Take on ad hoc project coordination tasks as assigned by the Trade Services Development Manager during peak operational periods.
