Egg Farmers of Canada (EFC) is seeking a Marketing Intern to join the Marketing and Nutrition team in a fast-paced, challenging, and exciting work environment. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Officer, the Marketing Intern will contribute to the Marketing and Nutrition team to support their consumer marketing projects under the Get Cracking brand.
This position is ideally suited to someone who is creative, results-driven, and detail-oriented with a keen interest in learning. If you’re curious and motivated to be part of a team with multiple projects on the go, then we want to hear from you!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work alongside the Marketing and Nutrition team to:
Build digital marketing strategies that reach targeted consumer audiences
Research relevant trends linked to consumer buying habits, food and meal preparation, and social media
Assist in the development, distribution, and reporting of new content across media channels (website, influencers, newsletter, social)
Draft briefs, correspondence, presentations, and other marketing items
Participate in ideation sessions, weekly planning meetings and content development meetings
Collaborate on community management for Get Cracking’s social media accounts and work with partner agency on influencer marketing strategy
Assist in the ongoing management of the photography and video digital library
Prepare reports and deliver recommendations to expand and strengthen marketing efforts
Help coordinate projects with team members, external partners, and stakeholders
Support the Marketing and Nutrition team on related files and tasks
Qualifications and Skills:
Knowledge in marketing and social media best practices
Strong passion for storytelling, communication and design
Skilled in writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced team environment with tight deadlines
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience or familiarity with Photoshop or Canva is an asset
Motivated, conscientious and reliable
Education and Experience:
Pursuing post-secondary education in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related program, preferably moving into the third year of the program or higher
Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
Working Conditions:
A standard workweek schedule working in a fast-paced environment.
Frequent interactions with partners and stakeholders.
Position requires prolonged periods of sitting, use of a computer, and close attention to detail.
