Job Summary:

As a member of the Radar System Engineering Team; the Radar Engineering Student will be involved in new and ongoing development and software Support.

You will have a diverse set of responsibilities which can include develop/enhance software, data analysis, system and software testing.

In this work term, April to August 2026, the primary task for the student will be able to work individually and within a modified Agile Team on developing and refactoring our surveillance maintenance and toolchain software.

Responsibilities

• Software development (C/C++/Python/JavaScript) and testing.
• System Hardware installation, setup and testing.
• Create test plans, procedures and scripts.
• Support life cycle support activities of current systems and lab environments.

Desired Skills

• Good understanding of programming.
• Good understanding of operating systems.
• Good understanding of Networking.
• Good oral and written communications in English.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

• This is a 5 days a week onsite role at the Technical Services Centre, 280 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON
• public transportation access

• You are required to be a registered full time student who is returning to full time studies in the fall 2026.
