The Summer Student, Retail Energy and Marketing will support our Customer Product, Analytics, and Marketing teams by assisting with customer data documentation and market analysis that inform customer lifecycle strategies. You’ll help create a centralized data dictionary for our marketing analytics database and repository of key customer communications. Gain exposure to marketing automation tools. This role also involves performing competitor and market research, giving you hands-on experience in developing data-driven strategies for product launches, campaigns, and improving customer experience.
This position is part of the 2026 ENMAX Summer Student Program. It is a 16-week program demonstrating ENMAX’s commitment to investing in our future workforce and helping students build valuable career skills. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time in a degree or diploma program and returning to full-time studies after the summer.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist in creating a data dictionary and repository for customer communications.
Support documentation and data management efforts in our marketing automation platform.
Conduct competitor and market analysis and present findings to the team.
Conduct research and benchmarking on marketing trends and best practices.
Collaborate with the marketing and go-to-market teams to help launch new products and campaigns.
Education Required: Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program in a relevant discipline and returning to full-time studies following the work term.
Qualifications & Experience:
Technical proficiency with data analysis tools or programming (background in engineering, IT, or data science is an asset.)
Basic project management skills to organize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong research and reporting capabilities to compile market and competitor insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with the team.
Familiarity with marketing principles or analytics tools (an asset).
Familiarity with Power Bi (as asset).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for organizing information, presenting and reporting.

Salary: Administrator Level B, Step 1 – $24.82/hour (per the current CUPE Collective Agreement)
Location: This role is part of our hybrid work model. The office workspace is at ENMAX Place (141 – 50 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). The team currently works from home on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
