  • Handle confidential and sensitive information in accordance with legislation and City policies.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors, including walking and standing for extended periods during site inspections.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
What YOU Bring:

  • Interest in municipal planning, inspections, compliance, or bylaw enforcement.
  • Ability to interpret basic regulations and follow established procedures.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, contractors, and City staff.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in both field and office settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • General computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn municipal systems.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and perform light physical duties as part of field inspections.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to the City’s health and safety program.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check.
Assets:
  • Previous summer, student, or entry‑level experience working with the public, inspections, enforcement, or regulated environments.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Conflict resolution or public education experience.
What WE Offer:

  • An hourly rate of $25.08
  • 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • Membership to the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre
