The Opportunity
This position is designated for a post-secondary student of African Descent with Nova Scotian heritage in accordance with the requirements of our funding agreement with Nova Scotia Labour, Skills and Immigration. Only applicants who self-identify as African Nova Scotian will be considered.
The Training & Education Intern will support the delivery of engaging STEM and marine education experiences in schools across Nova Scotia. Working closely with the Training and Education Coordinator on the delivery of the Offshore Wind 4 Kids (OW4K) programming, the Intern will help facilitate hands-on learning activities that spark curiosity about offshore wind and the marine sector among youth. The Intern will assist with equipment setup and takedown, capture event media and feedback, and help maintain supplies and materials. This position is ideal for a post-secondary student of African Descent with Nova Scotian heritage who is passionate about science communication, enjoys working with children, and thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments.
This internship is part-time paid employment ($22/hour) from Sept - Dec 2025.
