Union Market/Student Market Customer Service Representatives

Union Market is your home away from home. The only place on campus that is run by students for students, we brew the most affordable (and best tasting!) coffee on campus. We have the best prices on bagels, snacks, sandwiches, juice, and chocolate milk, making Union Market your one-stop-shop for everything you need to get through your day. We have fair trade coffee and chocolate bars to choose from, as well as organic chips, pretzels, gluten-free snacks, and granola bars. With the best prices, fair trade products, and an ever-changing soundtrack in the store, you’ll be sure to come back for more. 

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for store opening/closing duties and customer service during store operating hours.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

• Skills in verbal communication to deal with customers and others within the organization 

• Organizational skills an asset 

• Background in customer service oriented industry 
  
   

Effort & Responsibility 

• Ability to make decisions quickly and often without warning i.e. customer service situations 

• Responsible for dealing with large amounts of cash 

Working Conditions 

• Work environment is pleasant but challenging 

• Frequent lifting including heavy objects, while stocking shelves or putting away deliveries 

Training and Experience 

• Experience in cash procedures preferably in a computerized atmosphere 

Equipment 

• Computerized POS system 

• Calculator 

• Debit/Credit machine
