Youth Programs Intern (Summer Internship)

Jack.org is continuously evolving its youth mental health programs to better serve diverse communities across Canada.


As a Youth Programs Intern, you will play a key role in supporting program enhancement and delivery across initiatives like Jack Talks and Chapters. Your work will help ensure programs are grounded in best practices, informed by data, and responsive to the needs of young people.


You’ll also contribute to important initiatives focused on Indigenous youth engagement, helping expand culturally relevant resources and improve access to programming.



What you’ll do:


Program Development & Delivery



  • Support reviewing and updating content for Jack Talks and Chapters programs

  • Assist in refining program processes to strengthen delivery and participant experience

  • Contribute to the update and migration of Indigenous youth facilitator training into a hybrid learning model


Training & Youth Engagement



  • Train (certify) Jack Talks speakers through asynchronous learning and feedback on practice sessions

  • Support coordination and improvement of training materials and delivery methods

  • Assist in engaging Indigenous youth through program communications and outreach


Data Management & Insights



  • Maintain accurate and organized data in Salesforce

  • Log communications and ensure database reliability

  • Support data extraction from Xano and monitor program engagement metrics

  • Review and report on insights from Google Analytics


Research & Resource Development



  • Research best practices in youth mental health programming

  • Compile and expand mental health and wellbeing resources for Indigenous youth

  • Support communications planning, including social media coordination


General Responsibilities



  • Participate in team meetings and skill-building sessions

  • Maintain ethical standards when working with youth-centred and mental health-related content



What you bring:


Required Qualifications



  • Eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program (ages 15–30 and legally able to work in Canada)

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

  • Experience or interest in working with youth, youth engagement, or program support

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfort with administrative and data-related tasks

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), G-Suite, and learning platforms such as Absorb LMS


Assets



  • Experience with Jack.org programs

  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Absorb LMS, or Alchemer

  • Knowledge of youth mental health in Canada

  • Working proficiency in French

Additional Details:



  • Start Date: On or about May 18, 2026

  • Duration: 8 weeks (full-time)

  • Location: Remote (Canada-wide), with optional in-person collaboration in Toronto

  • Work Hours: Flexible, with core collaboration between 10 AM – 4 PM ET
