Remote Accountant

Job Description:

Devon Energy is seeking a part-time Remote Accountant to join our team in Montreal, Quebec, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This position is at the Associate Level and requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.

Responsibilities: - Manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and revenue recognition - Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports - Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures - Analyze financial data and provide insights to management - Assist in budget preparation and monitoring - Conduct periodic reconciliations of accounts - Participate in financial audits - Provide support for tax preparation and compliance

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA certification is preferred - 3+ years of accounting experience - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Independent and dedicated work ethic - Strong research and time management skills
