Accountant

Job Description:

Diamond Schmitt Architects is seeking a part-time Accountant at the Associate Level to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As our Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting.

Responsibilities: 1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. 2. Prepare financial statements and reports for management review. 3. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making. 4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. 5. Assist in budget preparation and monitoring. 6. Manage payroll processing and reporting. 7. Monitor cash flow and financial performance. 8. Collaborate with the finance team to support overall financial goals and objectives. 9. Provide support for audits and tax filings. 10. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. 2. CPA designation or working towards CPA designation is preferred. 3. Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting. 4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Ability to work well in a team environment. 8. Strong project management skills.
