Accountant

Job Description:

Energy Transfer Equity is seeking a part-time Accountant to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As an Associate Level Accountant with at least 3 years of experience, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data to support decision-making within the company.

Responsibilities: - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes - Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory requirements - Support internal and external audits - Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management - Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and alignment with company goals - Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding financial management

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - CPA designation is an asset - 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work independently and within a team - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Adaptability and passion for continuous improvement - Ability to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity
