Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a part-time Accountant to join our team at VF in Vancouver, British Columbia. As an Associate Level Accountant with at least 2 years of experience, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and providing support for budgeting and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain financial records including general ledger entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable - Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records of financial transactions - Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws - Assist with internal and external audits - Provide support to the financial team in various ad-hoc projects

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA designation or in progress is preferred - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Resilient and driven with a strong work ethic - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Presentation and research skills are a plus
