Job Description - Remote Contact Center Specialist

Job Description: American Electric Power is looking for a part-time Remote Contact Center Specialist to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As an entry-level role, no previous experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in customer service. We are seeking individuals who are hardworking, resourceful, innovative, and have excellent presentation skills.


Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional customer service and support through various communication channels, including phone, email, and chat - Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate complex cases to the appropriate department - Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy when interacting with customers - Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to find solutions to customer concerns - Update customer records and information accurately in the database - Follow company policies and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery - Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve overall customer experience


Requirements: - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer service software - High school diploma or equivalent - Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
