Job Description - Customer Service Representative

Job Description:


Simon Fraser University is currently seeking a driven and motivated individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. This part-time entry-level position will be based in Vancouver, British Columbia, CA.


Responsibilities: 1. Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and other university stakeholders. 2. Answer incoming calls and emails, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. 3. Assist with registration, scheduling, and other administrative tasks related to customer service. 4. Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all customers. 5. Utilize negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and de-escalate tense situations. 6. Use creativity to develop innovative solutions to customer problems and improve overall satisfaction. 7. Leverage data to inform decisions and drive strategic initiatives to enhance the customer service experience.


Requirements: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications. 5. Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks. 6. A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. 7. Experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
