Job Description:
Barnes & Noble is seeking a driven and confident Support Assistant to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and assistance to various departments within the company. This is a part-time position at the Associate level, requiring at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities: - Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and support - Assist with coordinating meetings, events, and travel arrangements - Manage calendars, schedules, and appointments for team members - Prepare and distribute internal communications, reports, and presentations - Conduct research and compile data as needed to support various projects - Support with project management tasks and ensure deadlines are met - Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions - Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and data entry - Other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in a similar support role - Confident and driven personality, with the ability to take initiative and proactively solve problems - Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment - Leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate others - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
