Job Description - Support Specialist

Job Description:


Health Net is seeking a hardworking and energetic Support Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing assistance to our clients and staff in a variety of administrative and operational tasks. This is an entry-level position, so no prior experience is required, making it the perfect opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in the healthcare industry.


Responsibilities: 1. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients seeking assistance with their healthcare needs. 2. Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and processing insurance claims. 3. Assist in coordinating and facilitating communication between clients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. 4. Use emotional intelligence and persuasion skills to build strong relationships with clients and encourage them to actively participate in their healthcare journey. 5. Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in all interactions with clients and colleagues. 6. Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information related to client healthcare needs. 7. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure that all client needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. 8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continually improve the level of support provided to clients.


Requirements: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 4. Demonstrated emotional intelligence and persuasion skills. 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills. 6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. 7. Detail-oriented and organized. 8. Must be a Canadian citizen or have legal authorization to work in Canada.
