Support Specialist

As a Support Specialist at Covenant House Vancouver, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to at-risk and homeless youth in the Vancouver area. This part-time entry-level position requires a dedicated and driven individual with strong project management skills and the ability to think critically in challenging situations.

Responsibilities: - Provide direct support to youth accessing Covenant House Vancouver's services - Assist with intake processes and assessments of youth in crisis - Develop and implement individualized support plans for each youth - Coordinate with internal and external resources to meet the needs of youth - Monitor progress and outcomes for youth in the program - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided - Participate in team meetings and case conferences - Stay informed about resources and services available to youth in the community

Requirements: - No prior experience required; training will be provided - Must be dedicated to the mission of Covenant House Vancouver - Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks - Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Comfortable working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ youth and youth of different cultural backgrounds
