Job Description:
Union Pacific is seeking a part-time Web Chat Assistant to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As an Associate Level position, the Web Chat Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support through online chat platforms. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities: - Engage with customers through web chat to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide product information - Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while multitasking between multiple customer interactions - Utilize negotiation skills to effectively communicate with customers and reach satisfactory resolutions - Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex issues and provide feedback for process improvement - Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, promotions, and company policies to accurately assist customers - Meet or exceed performance metrics for response times, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
Requirements: - 2+ years of experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably in a web chat environment - Resourceful and reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritize effectively - Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude - Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments - Negotiation skills to handle customer concerns and diffuse challenging situations - Proficiency in typing and navigating web chat platforms - Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training is a plus
