The Opportunity

We're hiring an Online Math Tutor to work with students from Grade 2 through Grade 11 — covering everything from foundational number skills and times tables all the way through to Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. No two students are the same, and neither are their challenges. Whether a Grade 3 student needs help building number confidence or a Grade 10 student is wrestling with quadratic equations, you'll be the educator who meets them exactly where they are and moves them forward. If you're patient, methodical, and passionate about making math less intimidating, we'd love to have you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver one-on-one and small-group online math tutoring sessions for students across Grade 2 to Grade 11
2. Assess each student's current level and design lesson plans that target their specific gaps and learning goals
3. Teach age-appropriate math concepts clearly and progressively — from basic arithmetic and fractions (elementary) to Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus (middle and high school)
4. Use Educify's virtual learning tools to deliver interactive, engaging, and structured sessions
5. Track and document each student's progress, adjusting your approach as needed
6. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians on student development and areas for improvement
7. Build student confidence by celebrating small wins and maintaining a positive, encouraging classroom environment

Grade-Level Scope

1. Grade 2–4 — Number sense, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic fractions
2. Grade 5–7 — Fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, introductory geometry, basic statistics
3. Grade 8–9 — Linear equations, inequalities, coordinate geometry, data and probability
4. Grade 10–11 — Algebra II, Trigonometry, Functions, Pre-Calculus, and exam preparation

Qualifications

1. Strong command of mathematics across elementary through high school levels
2. Ability to teach Grade 2 through Grade 11 content confidently and adapt explanations to different age groups
3. Previous tutoring or teaching experience strongly preferred
4. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is an asset
5. Excellent communication skills with the patience to work with young learners and older students alike
6. A calm, encouraging, and structured teaching style that builds trust with students and parents
7. Reliable high-speed internet connection, laptop, and webcam

Compensation

$18–$32 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
