Job Description:

Occidental Petroleum is seeking a passionate and reliable PR Associate to join our team in a part-time remote work position based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. As an Associate level PR professional with at least 4 years of experience, you will play a key role in shaping the public image of Occidental Petroleum and supporting the company's communication strategies.

Responsibilities: - Develop and implement PR campaigns to enhance the company's visibility and reputation - Write and edit press releases, articles, and other communication materials - Pitch stories to media outlets and secure coverage for the company - Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide regular reports to senior management - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels - Support crisis communication efforts as needed - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in PR and communications

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field - Minimum of 4 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities - Innovative thinking and a creative approach to PR strategies - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PR software tools
