Communications Specialist

Job Description:

Burlington Stores is seeking a talented Communications Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a part-time Associate Level position, the Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication initiatives to enhance the company's brand reputation and engage with key stakeholders and employees.

Responsibilities: - Develop and implement communication strategies to promote Burlington Stores' brand and corporate values - Create and manage content for internal and external communication channels, including digital platforms, intranet, newsletters, and press releases - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all communication channels - Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for proactive communication efforts - Support executive leadership in drafting speeches, presentations, and other communication materials - Assist with crisis communication strategies and respond to media inquiries as needed - Evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives through metrics and feedback analysis - Stay up-to-date on best practices and industry trends in communication and public relations

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications or public relations - Energetic and motivated personality traits with strong leadership and strategic planning skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail - Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with social media management tools - Experience with media relations, crisis communication, and internal communication preferred
