Communications Specialist - Work from home

Job Description:

FreshBooks is seeking a passionate and dynamic Communications Specialist to join our team remotely from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As a part-time Associate Level professional with at least 2 years of experience, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's communication strategy.

Responsibilities: - Develop and implement communication plans and strategies to effectively reach target audiences - Create and disseminate engaging content across various platforms including social media, email newsletters, press releases, and more - Monitor and analyze media coverage and public sentiment to inform future communication efforts - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation - Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including media outlets, industry influencers, and partners - Act as a spokesperson for the company when necessary - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communication

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field - Proven experience in a communications role, preferably within the technology or SaaS industry - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to think strategically and creatively to drive impactful communication campaigns - Proficient in using social media platforms, email marketing tools, and PR software - Driven and reliable with exceptional time management skills - Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders - Comfortable working independently and remotely
