Posting #2425-263 Lavington Elementary 0.7216 FTE position in the area of Fine Arts Teacher (K-7)Monday (8:16am - 11:31pm), Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday This is a temporary contract position. This position is effective September 3, 2024 and will continue until June 27, 2025 or upon the return of the incumbent, whichever comes first.While all applicants will be considered, preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-declare Indigenous ancestry. The starting annual salary for a school teacher position ranges from $58,000 to $110,000, with placement on the range based on the length of service and qualifications in accordance in accordance with the collective agreement. Positions of Special Responsibility receive an additional pay allowance in accordance with the collective agreement based on the levels 1, 2, or 3.Please contact Mike Sutch, Principal, if you have specific questions relating to this position. Primary/Intermediate Fine Arts Teacher excellent classroom management skills knowledge of current instruction practices and curriculum training and experience in primary and intermediate education successful experience teaching at the primary and intermediate levels specific training and coursework in the areas of Fine Arts or music ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills recognized degree in elementary education understanding and appreciation of the importance of First Nations Language & Culture knowledge of current instructional practices and the ability to adapt curriculum, programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of students demonstrated ability to support students, consult with parents and work collaboratively ability to integrate use of technology to support instruction, web-based reporting and communicating with the school community interest in contributing to the professional community at the school BC Teaching Certificate, membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch and eligibility for a Teacher Qualification Service card sound knowledge of technologies and their educational application
