Are you passionate about making a difference in the developmental services sector?

Community Living Dufferin is a non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.

We’re actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic community member to expand our volunteer Board of Directors. We’re seeking individuals with expertise in fundraising, marketing, social services, education, and other relevant areas to help advance our mission.
 

Focus for 2024-2025

In the upcoming year, our board will focus on implementing our newly launched Strategic Plan. We are looking for a board member who can contribute their unique perspectives and skills to help guide our organization in this critical phase.

We value diversity in age, strengths, ideas, and backgrounds. A diverse board helps us better understand and meet the needs of the people we support, ensuring the visibility and viability of our services.

Responsibilities

• 
  Prepare for and actively participate in board and committee meetings regularly.


• 
  Assist with strategic planning and policy development.


• 
  Participate in fundraising and community outreach activities.

Commitment

• 
  This volunteer position will begin September 7, 2024 at our meeting of members.


• 
  Approximately two hours per month for board meetings in the evening, additional time for committee work and special projects.


• 
  New Directors are elected for a three-year term.

Meeting Schedule

• 
  Monthly Meetings: Second Tuesday of each month (except for July and August).


• 
  In-Person & Virtual Meetings: September, October, April, May, and June.


• 
  Virtual Meetings Only: November through March Members may attend virtually for all meetings.
