Position Overview:

The primary focus of a Camp Instructor will be to maintain the camp activities. Camp Instructor are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills of students by supporting the Instructor in the classroom. Programs are conducted for children ages 5-14, although not all assistant instructors are required to work with all age groups. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology Instructors & leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism.

Role & Responsibilities:

Greet parents and children as they enter Snapology

Sign children in and out

Monitor children

Aid in Management of student behavior by enforcing rules and procedures

Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of Snapology

Organize Snapology program materials

Complete special assignments as indicated by Snapology leadership

Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs

Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as required

Qualifications:

Criminal and vulnerable sector check must be current

Desire to work with children

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis

Summer camps

This position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and the time of year, Camp Instructor typically work between 25-30 hours per week.

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
