General scope:
The Campus Media Video Production Coordinatoris responsible for producing, editing, publishing, and performance-tracking video content for CFMU and The Silhouette’s Campus Media platforms. This role works in close collaboration with the Digital Media Specialist, planning shoots, sharing workloads, and coordinating coverage of major Campus Media initiatives and events.This role schedules and publishes video content across social media platforms and preparesperformance reports outlining engagement metrics, growth trends, and strategic recommendations. In addition, they support the volunteer videojournalists by assisting with training, providing on-location production support, and offering technical guidance to ensure consistent quality and capacity across Campus Media’s multimedia operations.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Video Production & Event Coverage Function
Collaborate with the Digital Media Specialist to plan and film major Campus Media video initiatives (e.g., Welcome Week, Homecoming, Presidential elections, Light Up The Night, Supercrawl, and other key events).
Assist with shot planning, equipment setup, and on-location production logistics.
Capture high-quality video and audio content consistent with Campus Media branding and editorial standards.
Video Editing & Post-Production Function
Edit short- and long-form video content, including takeovers, “Sil in the Streets,” explainers, promotional pieces, and recap videos.
Incorporate captions, graphics, music, and branding elements appropriate for each platform.
Optimize video formatting for platform-specific requirements (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
Publishing, Distribution & Performance Analysis Function
Schedule and publish video content across Campus Media social media platforms.
Draft concise, engaging captions aligned with Campus Media voice and standards.
Ensure accessibility standards are met (e.g., captioning and readable on-screen text).
Track performance metrics including reach, engagement, growth, and watch time.
Prepare and submit a monthly analytics report to Campus Media leadership.
Provide data-informed recommendations to strengthen video strategy and audience growth.
Volunteer Support & Training Function
Assist in training and onboarding volunteer videojournalists
Provide on-location support and technical troubleshooting when .
Promote best practices in filming, editing, and multimedia storytelling.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Proficiency in video production and editing software (rudimentary experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is )
Strong understanding of short-form video strategy and platform optimization (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
Ability to interpret social media analytics and translate performance data into strategic recommendations
Working knowledge of camera operation, lighting, framing, and audio capture
Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to branding consistency
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively within a fast-paced, event-driven environment
EFFORT & RESPONSIBILITY
Sustained attention to detail in video editing, branding consistency, captioning, and content accuracy.
Ability to manage concurrent projects and meet firm deadlines, particularly during high-volume event periods.
Responsibility to exercise professional judgment when representing Campus Media in public and digital spaces.
Responsible adherence to CFMU Radio Inc. Operating Policy – The Silhouette
Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend commitments during major Campus Media initiatives and events.

Shared office space in Silhouette and CFMU around lounges
Time demands may exceed stated hours of work
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Previous experience with The Silhouette or 93.3 CFMU is an asset
