Job Description - Central Trainer - Internal

Our Training Site at our Head Office in Richmond, BC currently has an opportunity for:



Central Trainer


Responsibilities for this role include:



  • Performing established Training Program, involving Cash/Terminal Training for new hire employees.

  • Providing formal feedback for students and communicating the same with stores. 

  • Performing Management Terminal Training, POS training, and training in any other applications as required.

  • Providing input into the upgrading of training program contents as necessary

  • Providing input into the creation and maintenance of store procedure manuals

  • Attending Central Trainers Meetings

  • Attending additional training as necessary

The successful candidate should possess the following:



  • Comfortable presenting to small to medium-sized groups (typically 10-12 people)

  • Ability to relate to all levels of personnel within the Company (stores and Head Office)

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Professional conduct and attitude

  • Self-confidence and enthusiasm

  • Patience for students having varying learning methods

  • Good leadership and presentation skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

PREREQUISITES:



  • Thorough knowledge of store operational procedures

  • Well versed in using Microsoft applications like Excel and Outlook

  • Thorough knowledge of the P.O.S. system procedures

  • Minimum 12 months tenure with the Company

  • The successful candidate should have a holistic understanding of the store (Eg. Service Specialist or SPC) 

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, Monday to Sunday

Hours will vary depending on operational needs.  The successful applicant will be primarily employed at the store, the role of a Central trainer would serve as a back-up position as per training requirements.
