Certified Metering Mechanic / Technician (Part-Time)

The Certified Metering Mechanic is located in the Greater Toronto Area and typically reports directly to the Engineering Manager. Their primary focus is utility submeter replacement, commissioning, verification. This is a part-time position. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Complete verification inspection of electrical submetering systems
• Submeter commissioning, verification and related trouble-shooting on submeter replacement projects
• Equipment inventory, delivery, and return materials authorization
• Verification of project design and configuration equipment ordering
• Provide mentorship to Junior staff on removal, installation and commissioning of submetering systems
• Travel within the Greater Toronto Area for project execution

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Post-Secondary School Diploma
• Full MEARIE Certification is required
• Electrical Trade Diploma is an asset

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software
• Experience as a Certified Metering Technician

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License and proof of insurance
• Ability to work safely on a construction site (including electrical), inside or outside
• Ability to safely work on ladders and lift devices (training will be provided)
• Willing and able to travel within the GTA
