Job Description - Clerk Accounting A/P -Part-Time 20hr/wk. *****3-month contract*****

Cleaver Brooks has a 3-month contract for an Clerk-Accounting, A/P Part-Time to join our team in Stratford, ON. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for all Accounts Payable functions for this location. This includes all computer entries, filing, research, payment preparation and dispatch and contact with outside suppliers. Work with other members of the finance team to ensure reporting goals and schedules are met.


****3-Month Contract-February, March, April 2026-potential to extended.****


Hourly rate: $25.00/hr.


Job Location: Stratford, ON


Shift(s):



  • 20hrs a week


 


Essential functions:



  1. Process invoices from all billing agencies into the IFS System.

  2. Answer all vendor/supplier questions pertaining to invoices and payments.

  3. Receive invoices for payment from internal customers.  Ensure that they are coded to the appropriate department, account, and duly approved for payment.

  4. Answer all questions from internal/external customers concerning invoices and payments.

  5. Open AP mail and distribute invoices to the appropriate person for approval.

  6. Ensure that processed invoices are scanned and that paper copies are properly boxed, identified and sent to storage. 

  7. Assists with the preparation of various financial/fiscal reports; develops supporting analyses for reports using some independent judgment to interpret established procedures and instructions.

  8. Greet and forward all visitors and incoming calls to the appropriate personal in a professional manner.  Insure log book is signed by visitors, safety equipment issued where appropriate.

  9. Maintain a clean uncluttered area that is viewed by visitors in the reception area.


Education Required: Associates Degree/Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent work experience preferred.


Experience: Strong skills and ability with computer data entry. High competency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with IFS systems would be an asset.


Working Conditions and Hazards:   Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions.  From time to time, slightly disagreeable features.  Negligible or no exposure.
