Job Overview:

Maple Leaf Self Storage has been serving Canadian families and businesses for over 40 years. As a leading national self storage developer, owner, and real estate manager, we proudly support over 16,000 tenants across our stores. Through our continued growth and recent expansion in Ontario, we are looking for a Part-Time Customer Service Representative to join our team in Etobicoke.

QuadReal Property Group recently acquired Self Stor. During the transition period, certain locations will continue operating under the Self Stor brand while transitioning to Maple Leaf Self Storage.

Our Customer Service Representatives play a key role in creating a positive experience for our clients by helping them find the best storage solutions for their needs. If you enjoy working with people, solving problems, and being part of a small, collaborative team, this may be the role for you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service in person, over the phone, and by email.
• Assist clients in selecting appropriate storage solutions and unit sizes.
• Conduct facility tours and complete rental agreements.
• Follow up on inquiries, confirm reservations, and update the client database.
• Collect rental payments and post transactions accurately.
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and assist with collections communication when required.
• Promote and sell retail merchandise such as boxes, locks, and moving supplies.
• Perform daily administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Open and close the office during weekend shifts.
• Maintain property appearance by cleaning spaces, sweeping, organizing moving carts, and removing debris.
• Assist with general property upkeep including light outdoor maintenance (e.g., shoveling snow and salting walkways during winter months).

Experience and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn web-based software systems.
• A self-starter who enjoys working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work the required weekend schedule.

Schedule:

This is a part-time weekend position with the following regular schedule:

• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Additional hours may be available from time to time based on operational needs

The expected hourly pay for this role is $20 per hour.
