Development Coordinator (part time, contract)

TO Live has a part-time 3-month contract opportunity in its Development Department in the role of Development Coordinator.
Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy and Sponsorship and/or their designate, the Development Coordinator will provide support of TO Live’s Development department to advance TO Live’s fundraising goals. This individual will support fundraising initiatives including government and foundation grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving, donor relations, as well as stakeholder relations and general departmental administration.
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising Support & Pipeline Development
· Support the implementation of fundraising initiatives, spanning corporate and individual giving, programming sponsorships, and government and foundation grants in conjunction with the Director of Development and/or their designate.
· Support the growth of a robust pipeline of prospects, by researching, identifying, and qualifying potential donors and partners.
· Monitor the TO Live Foundation and TO Live Donate inboxes, responding to inquiries and escalating issues as needed.
· Liaise with internal departments, including Finance, Programming, and Marketing & Communications on fundraising initiatives.
· Prepare collateral materials and other documents to be used in stakeholder relations.
· Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of development events and sponsor activations.
Administrative and Additional Duties
· Maintain a calendar of activity for proposal/grant deadlines.
· Maintain a calendar of sponsor payments and contract deadlines.
· Assist in the preparation of correspondence, proposals, reports, briefing materials, meeting minutes. Research and prepare prospect profiles.
· Enter and maintain database records in Raiser’s Edge.
· Ensure the ongoing maintenance of department files.
· Audit development-related content on the TO Live website in collaboration with Marketing, recommending and supporting necessary updates.
· Oversee data entry and the ongoing maintenance of development-related records using Raiser’s Edge.
· Represent TO Live at shows, events and other donor-relations functions, as required.
· Assume additional responsibilities as assigned and actively participate as a member of the broader TO Live team.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines; strong planning coordinating, and scheduling skills.
· Ability to learn quickly, take initiative and to work both independently and as part of a new and growing team.
· Customer service/donor relations experience, with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
· Superb organizational and multi-tasking skills, prioritization skills and a precise attention to detail.
· Demonstrates exceptional follow-through; ability to respect and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), internet and office equipment.
· Prior experience with project management platforms (Asana) is an asset.
· Knowledge of EBMS, Raiser’s Edge is an asset.
· Commitment to professional development, AFP Code of Conduct and Donor Bill of Rights.
· Commitment to a career in fundraising, sponsorship and arts management preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Flexibility in hours and schedules and include work on nights and weekends as required.
· Lack of natural light in workplace.
· Travel between TO Live venues as required.
