Event Server Casual / Part Time

Job Summary

Reporting to the Event Manager, the Event Server is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences during events by providing food and beverage service with professionalism and efficiency. As part of the front-line team, the Event Server ensures that guests receive top-notch service in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Event Manager, the Event Server's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Establishing professional relationships with guests to create a comfortable environment.


• Providing guest service, including greeting guests, explaining menu items, and processing payments.


• Demonstrating knowledge of food and beverages offered.


• Performing opening and closing duties as required.


• Setting up and tearing down events as required.


• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas.


• Assisting team members when necessary.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in food and beverage service.


• Experience in event coordination is an asset but not required.


• Valid Smart Serve certification.


• Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.


• Strong sales skills with enthusiasm for recommending products.


• Team player with excellent communication skills.


• Attention to detail and a focus on customer service.

Working Conditions:

• May require long periods of standing and walking.


• Flexible availability including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• Work in a busy environment with potential interruptions.


• Attention to detail and accuracy required for extended periods.
