Position Summary
BCIT’s
School of Business and Media is seeking a
temporary, part-time (0.27 FTE) Faculty from September 2024 to late December 2024 to teach a real estate financing class in the Real Estate option of the Marketing Management diploma. This class is taught one weekday per week, between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, in person and on campus in Burnaby. Duties & Responsibilities The hiring committee is seeking a real estate and finance expert with a passion for teaching and learning and strong commitment to ensuring students develop applied skills and specialized knowledge. Applicants should have 8+ years of experience in real estate lending including residential marketplace as well as the complex commercial lending market.
The right candidate will demonstrate strong self-direction and leadership, the ability to adapt to new working environments quickly and self-sufficiently, and a commitment to the next generation of marketers (as evidenced by mentoring or similar experience). Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Marketing credential required; BCIT business diploma an asset. A minimum of 8 years proven success working in related roles. Instructional experience at a polytechnic or similar applied institution is preferred; and/or experience with professional coaching or other adult learning environments. An established network of relevant professional contacts in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, and beyond. Excellent English-language communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a collegial environment.
