Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Our Bower Plaza Gas Bar in Red Deer is the perfect place for you! We're currently seeking a part-time Gas Bar Attendant to join our dynamic team. 

Position: Gas Bar Attendant

Part-time: 24 to 36 hours per week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Age & Shift Requirements:

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. This is due to the early and evening shift times and the possibility of working alone. Alberta Employment Standards has specific restrictions on when employees under 18 can work in retail without adult supervision.

Typical shifts include:

Opening: 5:45 a.m., working alone until approximately 8:30–10:00 a.m.

Closing: 2:00 p.m., working alone from approximately 5:00–10:00 p.m.

The ability to work independently and comfortably during periods of working alone is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service 
• Perform windshield cleaning and check oil/fluid levels
• Process fuel and merchandise payments efficiently
• Receive, unpack, and display merchandise with care
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Dispense fuel and propane with precision – applicable locations
• Perform car wash cleaning duties as needed – applicable locations
• Support marketing initiatives to enhance customer experience
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

 Qualifications:

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old (required for working alone under Alberta Employment Standards)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
• Previous experience in fuel dispensing is an asset; training available
