Hospitality Coordinator

One of the key values at Sherwood Park Alliance is Hospitality.  We long to be a place where people feel welcome and can belong before they believe.  While we all have a responsibility to champion this value, the Hospitality Coordinator will help us execute this in significant ways with excellence in key areas. 

This person loves to welcome people into our various environments, hosting them well and ensuring their experience is top notch. The primary working hours for this role include evenings and weekends. The role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible schedule that is driven by the ministry in our building rather than regular office hours. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hosting 

• Create a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.


• Prepare rooms and resources for guests.


• Clearly deliver the service level which we target.


• Collaborate with the rest of the Hospitality Team.


• Point person while onsite during emergency situations.
  

Food Services 

• Maintain cleanliness and supplies in the kitchen, staff room and Legato.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• High School Diploma required


• One to two years of administration experience would be considered an asset


• One to two years of working with volunteers


• Desire to serve others in practical ways


• Thrives when working independently


• Proven competencies in Conflict Resolution, Flexibility/Adaptability, and Love for Jesus
  

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Availability to work evenings


• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.


• Food Safety certification, or willingness to obtain.


• First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.

SPECIAL NOTES: 

• Working hours are variable and will adjust based on ministry needs; part time without benefits package; reporting to Hospitality Pastor.
