Line Cook (Casino)

Job Description:

As a Line Cook at Red Deer Resort & Casino, you will play a crucial role in delivering the authentic taste of Chinese or Western cuisine to our guests. Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to traditional recipes and our restaurant's standards.


• Execute cooking techniques, such as stir-frying, steaming, and roasting, to create flavorful and visually appealing dishes.


• Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes meet our high standards, and make adjustments as needed.


• Work closely with the culinary team to maintain a smooth kitchen operation, including communication with other cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff.


• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.


•  Please note that working hours for this role will vary, and the work environment can be especially busy on weekends. Flexibility and the ability to work during peak dining hours are essential.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or kitchen.


• Knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and traditional recipes.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.


• Food safety and sanitation certification is a plus.
