Part Time Caregiver  – Scarborough, ON 

A family in Scarborough ON M1B 4S6 is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support a senior transitioning from West Park Healthcare Centre back home with his wife.

Schedule:

• 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM | 2–3 weekdays per week (flexible on days, with potential to increase to full-time)


• Start date: ASAP

• The family values open communication and building a long-term relationship with the right caregiver

Responsibilities:

• Mobility Support: Assisting with transfers and mobility (client uses a wheelchair).


• Personal Care: Providing hygiene assistance, including grooming, dressing, and brief changes.


• Medication Assistance: Helping with medication reminders and tracking.


• Companionship & Communication: Engaging with the client and providing a supportive presence. Please note that the client uses an iPad to communicate.


• Errands & Transportation: Driving to/from medical appointments and picking up prescriptions or supplies using your own vehicle.


• Household Support: Assisting with meal preparation, clean-up, and light housekeeping

Requirements:

• Experience in caregiving (PSWs, RT students, or internationally trained nurses are encouraged to apply).

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation


• Fluency in English

Preferred:

• Clinical Interest: While the client requires specialized care (catheter, tube feeding, and trach suctioning), these tasks are currently managed by Ontario Health at Home or family. We prefer a candidate who is comfortable working alongside a clinical team and is open to learning these tasks, though it is not a requirement.

Compensation:

• $25.00/hour + Mileage Reimbursement ($0.73/km for on-shift travel)
