Job Description - Part Time Custodian (1 Year Contract, Non Union)

REPORTS TO: Facilities Supervisor
LOCATION: Cainsville Community Centre

Minimum Qualifications:

Secondary School Education or equivalent
Proven prior custodial experience in a customer service environment and knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Ability to read and understand labels and instructions
Good physical condition
Ability to travel between County facilities as required
Acceptable Police Records Check

Assets:

Knowledge of arena operations
Current WHMIS training
Current Emergency First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Duties

Perform custodial duties such as floor and washroom maintenance and general building cleaning of floors, carpets, windows, etc.
Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies
Keep the Cainsville Community Centre in clean, safe and orderly condition
Set up, arrange, and take down tables and chairs for various events
Follows procedures for the proper use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

Rate of Pay: $22.44

Hours of Work: Up to 24 hours per week – Including days, evenings, and weekends

Date of Posting: Thursday May 1, 2025
