Job Title: Podcast Host
Duration/Term Length: August to December 31, 2025
Work Hours:
Hours may fluctuate – On Average 5 – 10 Hours a Week
Shift availability may vary from time to time.

Location: Hybrid – All Campuses; Some Remote Work

Job Purpose:
The Podcast Host will work closely with the Communications team to host, develop, and promote The Student Voice podcast, aimed at informing, engaging, and empowering the student body of Centennial College. This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and the ability to connect with a diverse student audience. As the voice of the podcast, the host will ensure each episode highlights relevant student issues, voices, and opportunities for involvement.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Communications & Events team to brainstorm topics, themes, and interview opportunities for the podcast.
• Host and moderate podcast episodes, conducting interviews with students, staff, and special guests to amplify student voices.
• Assist in the planning, scripting, and production of podcast episodes, ensuring smooth transitions and engaging content.
• Actively promote the podcast and related content across CCSAI’s digital channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Web).
• Engage with students, gathering feedback and ideas to continuously improve the podcast and tailor it to student needs.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions throughout the term.
• Support the Student Engagement & Supports department with other required duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Experience or interest in hosting, public speaking, or broadcast media.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to conduct engaging interviews.
• Experience in podcast or media production is an asset.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Centennial College student life and a passion for amplifying student voices.
• Effective time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.

Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student for the current semester.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Must have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number (minimum 6 months to expiry).
• Available for up to 10 hours a week (Monday – Friday).
