Position Summary:
The Recreation Activity Aide is responsible for implementing therapeutic recreation and life enrichment programs which meet the physical, social, emotional spiritual and intellectual need of our Residents.  The Resident Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day preparation, implementation, documentation and evaluation of Therapy programs.  The Recreation Activity Aide will report to the Recreation Supervisor. The Recreation Activity Aide will at all times demonstrate support of Park Place Policies and Procedures and conduct themselves in a professional manner. 
This is a PART TIME position.
Qualifications:

• Recognized Therapy/Recreation Aide Certificate along with a minimum of 1-year related experience preferred.
• Experience working with seniors, the disabled, or those requiring mental health support is an asset.
• Clear criminal record security clearance with vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old)
• Must be physically fit, able to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
• Must be able to work independently, and as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Successful candidate must be fully vaccinated.
