About the Role

Are you a Redditor who loves smart tech, design, and engaging in online discussions?

We are looking for a Part-Time Community Coordinator to become the voice of Nanoleaf on our subreddit. Starting at 4 hours per day, your primary focus will be to keep our Reddit community vibrant, helpful, and connected. This is an entry-level, minimum-wage position with an incredible opportunity for growth—outstanding performers will be considered for a transition into a full-time role.

This is a hybrid role requiring you to be in the Toronto office, onsite, two (2) times week, so ideally, you are local to the GTA/have the ability to commute into TO HQ.

What You’ll Do

• Daily Engagement: Monitor and actively engage on the Nanoleaf subreddit for 4 hours a day, responding to user posts, comments, and questions in an authentic, brand-consistent tone.


• Community Support: Act as the first line of community care—helping users troubleshoot basic inquiries, guiding them to official resources, and escalating major technical issues to our support team.


• Content & Discussion: Spark interesting discussions, share official announcements, and celebrate cool setups posted by our community members.


• Feedback Loop: Keep a pulse on community sentiment and regularly share insights, trends, and feedback with the Social Media Manager to help shape our broader social strategy.


• Moderation: Ensure the subreddit remains a welcoming, safe, and organized space by upholding community guidelines.

What You Bring

• Reddit Native: You understand Reddit culture, formatting, memes, and formatting norms inside and out. (Bonus points if you already lurk or post in tech, gaming, or smart home subreddits!)


• Excellent Communicator: Strong written English skills with the ability to balance professionalism with a casual, community-friendly tone.


• Tech-Savvy: A genuine interest in smart home technology, IoT, wellness technology such as red light therapy


• Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage your 4-hour daily block effectively, and stay organized.
  Adaptable: Eager to learn, receive feedback from the Social Media Manager, and grow with the brand.
