Position Summary:
Our lab at the Montreal Neurological Institute of McGill University is looking to hire a Research Assistant 2. This position will provide support for research in genetic white matter diseases and other neurogenetic conditions with white matter involvement.

Education and Experience:
-- Possesses specialized knowledge of the field or discipline acquired through a Master’s Degree.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken) required.
Experience in a neuroscience, rare disorders, or similar laboratory environment is preferred; undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field is an asset. General computer skills and ability to quickly learn computer programs (but not coding). Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance. Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well with trainees, colleagues, collaborators, and research participants. Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences of lab members, collaborators and participants. Commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety; communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned. Commitment to Open Science practices.
