Description

Hey, we’re Article. You might have known us as an online-only furniture company. Well, that is about to change, we're opening our first store, and we are looking to hire our opening team!

As a Home Expert Associate, (Sales Associate) you’re the face of Article to our customers making every in-store customer interaction a delightful one. 

We’re looking for Home Expert Associates to join us on Monday, July 15th.

Please note: Interviews for this role will be held on-site at our Vancouver HQ (1010 Raymur Ave) on June 27th and 28th.

Availability

Our store is open 7 days a week, 10am -6pm PST. 

As a casual employee, you must have a minimum availability of five days per week, including mandatory availability on 3 week days and both Saturday and Sunday. While you may be scheduled for just one weekend day, there may be instances where both Saturday and Sunday are required. Work schedules will be provided at least two weeks in advance, with specific start times varying within a specified range.

We require individuals with flexible availability. The shifts you will be assigned to will typically be between the following hours:

9am - 7pm PST. 

If you are interested in joining our team, please ensure that you can accommodate these shift timings as part of your availability.

Training Schedule:

New Particles will complete four weeks of full-time training (40 hours a week) which will happen Monday to Friday from July 15th to August 16th with daily hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm PST. This will take place at our HQ, 1010 Raymur Ave and the store. 

As we lead up to our store opening, there is a holiday blackout from July 15 to September 30, meaning you will not be able to book any time off during this period. 

Store Location: 848 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC, V6A 1R6

As a casual employee:
  • After your first four weeks of training (Monday-Friday training in our HQ office), you’ll be supporting weekend coverage (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) plus available weekdays
  • To start, you’ll work closer to 5 shifts per week. Shifts may fluctuate between 3 to 5 shifts in the next few months based on contact volume
  • More shifts are available based on your availability and demands of the business
  • $24 per hour + 4% vacation pay
  • 25% discount on all Article furniture

The Retail team strives to offer a remarkably better customer experience through a variety of channels including phone, email, chat, and more. This role is for you if you have an interest in design and enjoy working independently while providing resolutions to our customers through authentic connections.

Bonus points if:
  • You have experience/ education in Interior Design or past Home Furnishing retail experience
