Seasonal Arena Attendant

The Town of Stony Plain is the local government authority responsible for planning and delivering municipal services in Stony Plain, a Canadian urban community of approximately 18,000 people on the traditional Indigenous lands of Treaty 6 peoples.

Are you an energetic team player who enjoys working in a public setting? The Town of Stony Plain is currently accepting applications for two seasonal positions available at our Glenn Hall Centennial Arena.

As a member of this team, you will be dedicated to serving the residents of Stony Plain, as well as various local user groups utilizing the arena and outdoor rinks. These positions require individuals to perform a variety of tasks, including janitorial duties, building maintenance, and assisting with the maintenance and operation of indoor and outdoor rinks. The Attendants may support other areas within the Parks and Leisure Services team as required.

We are seeking a candidate who:

• Who is an energetic team player with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Enjoys working in a public setting and takes pride in serving residents.
• Who is adaptable and willing to perform a variety of duties.
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently as well as within a team.
• Are available to work evening and weekend shifts, averaging 20–25 hours per week.

In accordance with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955, current Collective Agreement, the wage for these positions will start at $21.33 per hour. The approximate term of these positions is from late September to mid-March, depending on weather and operational requirements.
