Our client's M&M (mining & metals) team is a global leader in studying, engineering, and executing projects, redefining project delivery models and embracing innovative technologies. You'll play a key role in delivering engineering to our client's high safety and quality standards, leading multi-disciplined teams for EPC or EPCM projects across North America, European Union, Asia, and South America.
Comply with industry codes, standards, company, and department protocols, including familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE, ACGIH Industrial Ventilation, and SMACNA.
Develop conceptual designs for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, and create relevant system schematics or flow diagrams.
Conduct and verify HVAC calculations for heat transfer, air circulation, duct/pipe dimensions, and equipment capacities.
Draft and review HVAC equipment specifications and installation guidelines, incorporating design criteria.
Prepare requests for quotations and purchase orders, and participate in technical bid assessments.
Perform material quantity assessments for HVAC systems, covering equipment, piping components, ductwork, and related accessories.
Provide guidance to designers in creating HVAC layout drawings.
Analyze and propose solutions for system-related challenges, such as equipment selection, air and hydraulic system balancing.
Review models using 3D platforms for spatial coordination and clash resolution.
Proficient in 2D software applications like AutoCAD and Microstation.
Dust Control Design Engineer Technical Skills
Adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and departmental procedures, including familiarity with Industrial Ventilation standards and OSHA regulations.
Collaborate with processes to conceptualize dust control systems, and develop system schematics or flow diagrams accordingly.
Perform and validate Dust Control calculations for airflows, duct sizing, and equipment choices.
Develop and assess Dust Control specifications, integrating design criteria.
Generate requests for quotations and purchase orders, and participate in technical bid evaluations.
Estimate materials required for Dust Control systems, including equipment, ductwork, and associated accessories.
Guide designers in creating dust control layout drawings.
Evaluate and suggest solutions for system-related issues, ensuring appropriate equipment selection and system balance.
Utilize 3D review platforms to coordinate spatial arrangements and resolve clashes.
Proficient in 2D software applications such as AutoCAD and Microstation.
P.Eng. registration is a must for this role!
