Your Day-to-Day:
We supply our designers with qualified clientele, the designer's job is to create and sell a functional solution that works for the customers. Warm leads provided (but there are Self Generated Lead targets as well)
- In-home design consultation which will provide a custom solution for our client
- Create & Designs custom proposal for customers
- Reimagine and organize spaces
- Educating our clients on the ShelfGenie products, demonstrating our product samples, highlighting unique features and benefits, and selling the custom design; giving our clients their solution
- Responsible for a fantastic customer experience which includes, but is not limited to, client follow-up that will develop into strong ongoing customer relationships
- Building relationships with our existing leads list
- Get the right design for your customer's needs
About the Position
As a ShelfGenie® Designer, you will design and build custom solutions that will truly change the lives of our clients. The ideal candidate will be energetic and motivated by the opportunity to showcase their creativity while helping people.
The award-winning BC Lower Mainland ShelfGenie® team is looking for a part-time designer (possibly full-time) who has a passion for art, design, creativity, functionality, and helping people. Our designers create a custom solution that solves home pain points, eyesores, and trouble areas.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and perform in-home consultations which will provide a custom solution for our client
- Educating our clients on the ShelfGenie products, demonstrating our product samples, highlighting unique features and benefits, and selling the custom design; giving our clients their solution
- Responsible for a fantastic customer experience which includes, but is not limited to, client follow-up that will develop into strong ongoing customer relationships
Your Strengths & Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in one of the fields of (Interior Designing, Professional Organizing, Re-modeling, Kitchen Designing, Face to Face Selling, and Community Building. etc)
Fluent in English (Strong reading, writing, arithmetic, and interpersonal communication skills)
- Comfortable articulating the quality of the products
- Strong Creative skills
- Ability to interact with customers, handle objections/rejection
- Experience with interior design software is a bonus
- Familiarity and comfortable being in other people's homes
Passionate about design & functionality
- Motivated to meet monthly targets and sell your designs solution
- Reliable transportation and excellent driving record
- Familiarity and comfort with modern communication and computing technology
- Ability to learn quickly to adapt to new environments/situations and innovate with regard to products, methods, and processing
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country
- Willingness to work evenings & weekends (along with at tradeshows)
- Design coverage can range from West Vancouver to Chilliwack but is flexible to your geography travel.
Compensation: 10%+ commission (average job sales is roughly $4000); unlimited earnings potential. This is a part-time position to start with and could possibly become full time. Ability to travel throughout the area to work in client homes for appointments lasting approximately 60-90 minutes. Tradeshow work is paid by the hour ($21/hr) along with commission for appointments booked ($20 per appointment)
