About the Position
As the installer, you will be responsible for delivering a premium service to our customers by measuring & installing their fully custom glide-outs.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Take accurate measurements and upload them to the ShelfGenie portal system
• Receive product shipment and inspect products for quality
• Schedule an appointment with the customer
• Install Glide-Out shelving at the customer's home to the customer's satisfaction
• Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner
We are currently seeking installation partners who are already talented craftsmen to install our custom Glide-Out shelving in customers’ existing cabinets. While the work is only part-time (but may lead to full-time), our clients sometimes need other remodeling and fix-up work in their homes, which can lead to additional side work for you.
This is an excellent opportunity for handymen, cabinet refacing businesses, carpenters, kitchen/bath remodelers, or those seeking part-time/supplemental work. We bring the customers to you.
Responsibilities:
- Taking accurate measurements
- Receiving job alerts via email and communicating with clients
- Uploading measurements into the computer portal system
- Receiving product shipment
- Inspecting products for quality
- Scheduling an appointment with the customer
- Installing Glide-Out shelving at customer home
- Updating the ShelfGenie portal system
- Install coverage can range from West Vancouver to Chilliwack but is flexible to your geography to travel.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of carpentry/handyman experience
- Technology friendly with laptops and smartphone
- Customer-first attitude
- Value the importance of customer service
- Dependable, professional, prompt, motivated, organized, and exercise good time management
- Provide reliable transportation
- Ability to read and correctly interpret ShelfGenie design
- Skilled with & be able to safely operate/use all carpentry tools including tape measure, rotary laser, string line, circular saw, levels, hammer & nails, chalk line, rotary hammer, square, etc.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail
- Fluent in English Strong communication skills
- Enthusiastic
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country
- Willingness and flexibility to work evenings & weekends as needed (possibly some tradeshows)
- Familiarity and comfort being in other people's homes
