Shift Nursing (RPN) - Burlington Retirement Home

• Provide nursing care to individuals in a Retirement home setting.


• Conduct and review initial assessments during resident application process.


• Meet the health needs of the patient/family through the provision of nursing care.


• Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify the plan of care outlining the strategies, orders and actions to achieve expected/desired outcomes.


• Assess the health status of the client using a holistic care approach.


• Maintain electronic health record.


• Work in compliance with the Retirement Home Regulatory Act. 


• Complete incident reports as needed. 


• Consult with hospital discharge planners and other care providers.


• Participate in Infection Control committee.


• Administer medications topically through natural body orifices and by injections.


• Participate in falls prevention program


• Attend team meetings and mandatory trainings as required.

• Current registration with the CNO 


• Retirement home experience is an asset


• Infection control experience is an asset


• Pain & symptom management experience 


• Medication Administration experience


• Current CPR certificate


• Excellent interpersonal, communication and teaching skills


• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle an asset

Pay: CA$25.00-CA$26.59 per hour
